What is The BEST ABA
Behavior Program?

The BEST Behavior Program is a micro-credential behavior training program for K-12 educators.  The BEST provides educators the keys needed to decrease problematic classroom behaviors by increases students' academic behavior skill performance. The BEST foundations are rooted in ABA, MTSS, PBS, SEL, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion from a Cultural Humility lens to build academic success. The BEST Program increases students' classroom  independence and engagement by identifying vital academic behavior skills/pro-social skills that can be strengthened to overcome behavior deficits in the educational setting.

The BEST uses algorithm equations from the  Classroom Behavior Continuum Scale-CBCS (Crump, 2015), to develop the BEST Behavior Report. The custom report provides data on:

  • Hypothesized Function of Behavior

  • Academic Behavior Replacement Skills

  • Probable Event Indicator-Identifies the setting & antecedent events

  • Visual Competing Behavior Pathways

  • SMART Behavior Goals

  • Behavior Intervention Success Plan

The BEST provides tiers of instruction for School Districts, Community Colleges,

Universities, and custom behavior content

development for organizations.

How Are Skills and Behaviors Connected?

Academic behavior skills and Maladaptive  behaviors are inversely linked. As academic behavior skills increase, maladaptive behaviors decrease, and vice versa. Teaching students positive behavior skills increases academic success. Problematic behaviors impede academic achievement. This is the teeter-totter effect

(Crump, 2015).
