How Are Skills and Behaviors Connected?
Academic behavior skills and Maladaptive behaviors are inversely linked. As academic behavior skills increase, maladaptive behaviors decrease, and vice versa. Teaching students positive behavior skills increases academic success. Problematic behaviors impede academic achievement. This is the teeter-totter effect
